V Stuart Foote <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |NEEDINFO CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #9 from V Stuart Foote <[email protected]> --- Attachment 206334 takes 4 seconds to open into Writer 26.2.1.2 It takes 3 seconds to open into Writer when it has been converted (by save-as) to native ODF Text document. Yes, running the Accessibility Check does choke down performance when run, but that should not be by default on opening. Only if for some reason the Accessibility SB deck was left as last active deck. Likewise the Accessibility Check will run slowly when exporting to accessible PDF/UA. As to speed of opening, it is sufficiently fast when not pushing it through accessibility check. The general complaint is invalid and this => WFM NEEDINFO from OP, please convert to ODF Text document and then reopen, be sure you do not have Accessibility Check Sidebar deck enabled. Is performance better with native ODF formatting that does not need to be filtered. As to the separate note, DO NOT OPEN PDF with DRAW and expect any performance. The filter import is reading each object from the PDF and is converting them into a LibreOffice drawing object. Inherently slow and LibreOffice is not a good choice to attempt to use as a PDF viewer.
