            Bug ID: 171445
Summary: Remove multiple ways to insert a table in tabbed view
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.0.3 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: UI
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
LibreOffice Writer has approximately three ways to insert a table. I propose
that we minimise that to two or one way in accordance with the Design Principal
"ux-minimalism" (https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design/Principles).
Therefor I opened this ticket to discuss what the best way would be.

Steps to Reproduce:
The following three ways exist to add a table

1. Go to the "Home" tab and click the table icon (see image
"insert-table-1.png")
2. Go to the "Insert" tab and click the table icon to the left (see image
"insert-table-2.png")
3. Go to the "Insert" tab and click the table icon to the right (see image
"insert-table-3.png")

Actual Results:
There are approximately three different ways to insert a table.

Expected Results:
There is only one way to insert the table under the "Insert" tab.

Reproducible: Always
