            Bug ID: 171450
Summary: Requesting additions concerning document data
reference to documentation on macro creation
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.0.3 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Documentation
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]

Description:
I recently tried to produce a macro that would operate on the currently
selected cell. I looked for examples in the documentation, both online and in
PDF form, and could not find anything with a full (or *more thorough*)
reference on how to reference arbitrary cells.
I found examples for how to output data from a calculation on specific cells to
other specific cells, but nothing at all on how to operate on the currently
selected cell. I eventually found something that helped me, though, but even
having no previous experience with Basic I'd like to think I could have done
this a lot quicker if there was more information in the LO documentation on
cell data references, more examples, or other aspects of making LO macros that
are not described in Basic reference material.
