            Bug ID: 171572
Summary: LibreOffice Writer renders half-width content area
before expanding to full width on open
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.2.1.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice

1.png is the issue at startup. 2.png is a second or so later

Environment:
• LMDE 7
• Cinnamon 6.6.7
• LibreOffice 26.2

Description:
When opening LibreOffice Writer, the window appears maximized but the content
area initially only occupies roughly the left half of the window, with a
grey/empty area on the right side. After a brief moment (~0.5s), the content
area expands to fill the full window as expected. This happens every time the
application is launched.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Close LibreOffice Writer if open
2. Open LibreOffice Writer

Expected behavior:
The content area fills the full window immediately on open.

Actual behavior:
The window opens maximized, but the document/content area is rendered at
roughly half-width on the left side, with a grey empty region on the right.
After a brief delay, the content area redraws to fill the entire window.

Notes:
• Attempted using devilspie2 with a maximize rule — same behavior persists,
confirming the window is already maximized; the issue is the internal content
rendering, not the window size.
• This suggests LibreOffice is performing a two-stage layout/render on
startup.

This may actually be a LibreOffice issue rather than Cinnamon, since the window
itself is maximized — it's the internal content that renders late. You may want
to file this at https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/ instead. Attach your two
screenshots showing the before/after.
