            Bug ID: 171582
Summary: Improve the developer documentation for Python
                    extension development
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Extensions
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

I recently went through the process of building my first small
LibreOffice-Extension (including a simple UI) using the Python interface. This
was doable, but the information on how to do this is (at least from what I
found) rather scattered and sometimes outdated/incomplete, making the whole
process much more complicated than it has to be.

As many developers are familiar with Python, I think it would be great to
improve the documentation on this to lower the barrier of entry for extension
developers. As Neil Roberts was recently introduced as a developer focusing on
scripting support [1], I figure their might currently be some momentum for this
and would be happy to contribute.

Please let me know if anyone (Neil?) is interested in this.
