Bug ID: 171597
Summary: LO Writer: Tab stop at the beginning of the line
disappear when Enter is pressed
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.4.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
If a line begins with one or more tabulator stops, and Enter is pressed while
on the same line, then the tab stop(s) disappear. This is very
annoying/problematic when tab stops are used for e.g. writing items in columns.
The bug only affects the line THAT THE CURSOR IS ON. Thus, the bug is not seen
if tab stop is used at the beginning of a paragraph that spans more than one
line, because in that case there will be no tab stap at the beginning of the
line with the cursor when Enter is pressed.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a new Writer document.
2. Write a single line beginning with one or more tab stops and some text.
3. Press Enter.
Actual Results:
When Enter is pressed, the tab stops at the beginning of the line disappears.
(They can be manually entered again, but disappear again, if Enter is
Expected Results:
Pressing Enter should not affect tab stops.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
