I am seeing a massive performance degradation with recent nightlies. Everything
takes much longer, with long delays before many actions conclude. Specifically,
from the time the Writer window shows on startup, to when the button icons
fully draw (e.g. the New button icon changes from all-gray to a blue-background
icon of a document), there is an 8 second delay (then another ~0.2-0.3 seconds
for the rulers to draw). With 26.2 that particular delay is maybe 0.1-0.2
seconds, i.e. I can see it happen, but just for a brief moment.
If I start Calc, the delay is shorter in absolute terms, but similar in
relative terms, e.g. about a 1.0 second delay from when the sheet draws to when
the toolbar draws; but with LO 26.2 I can't even notice that happening at all.

I should mention that the `top` utility shows all of my CPU cores are at low
(under 10%) load without LO running, although I do have some apps running.
I'll also mention that I recently upgraded my GNU/Linux distribution from
Devuan Excalibur to Devuan Freia; but the comparison above is on Devuan Freia
for both versions. That probably has nothing to do with it.
