Priority: medium
Bug ID: 67542
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: EDITING Calc is changing case of alphanumeric strings
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.0.4.2 release
Component: Spreadsheet
Product: LibreOffice
Calc is changing case of non-leading characters of alpha numeric strings in an
apparently random fashion.
Example: PXgYuvqi is changed to PxgYuvqi - Note second character.
TTVcCBvm is unchanged and saved as entered.
Setting Tools > Cell Contents > AutoInput has been un-checked and LibreOffice
Calc closed and restarted. This has had no effect on the case change problem.
Auto correct should NOT be on by default on a spreadsheet. Word processors
sure, a spread sheet, not even maybe. Alpha numeric strings are common in
spreadsheets, and to have the application prevent a user from entering certain
strings is not a reasonable approach.
