Bug ID: 171638
Summary: Ability to delete styles defined in the document but
not in use
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.8.0.0 alpha0+ master
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Depends on: 167949, 171637
Blocks: 102946
I often open files which other people have created or edited - in LO or in MSO,
especially MS Word - which have a bunch of styles which I don't want. Maybe
it's because I've changed styles so some are no longer in use, or maybe they
were not in use to begin with, and were tacked on by some format conversion.
I would like to be able to remove, excise from my document - in the UI and in
the file written to disk - all (named) styles which are not used in the
document.
This would help the editing user not have to consider these styles (e.g. for
updating when other styles change); and would help future editors, if they need
to update the document.
Conveniently, this functionality will be available automatically once bug
167949 and bug 171637 are implemented
