Bug ID: 171645
Summary: Significant slowdown in 26.2.2.2 compared to 25.8.6.2
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.2.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I have a presentation (.odp file) that I created a year or so ago. When I open
it with 26.2.2.2 (current version installed by the libreoffice-fresh package on
EndeavourOS, an Arch Linux based distro), it takes a very long time to open,
and then it is like molasses going from one slide to the next. The CPU is also
busy and my laptop fan spins up. On the other hand, with 25.8.6.2 (the
libreoffice-still package), it opens normally and behaves normally. Version
informaton below. I don't see a way to attach the presentation when creating
this bug report, but I will attach it once created, if Bugzilla allows me to.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the presentation
2. Move from slide to slide
3.
Actual Results:
Takes a very long time to open and moving from slide to slide is like molasses.
Expected Results:
Should open normally and moving from slide to slide should be fast.
Reproducible: Always
