Description:
This is a macOS feature where pressing the space bar twice generates a period
(before the two space bars.) It works in Microsoft Word, Mozilla Firefox, Apple
Messages, etc. This is a default feature of the OS that is setup in system
settings. Any additional info needed please let me know.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Press space bar twice after typing (in rapid succession)
2. A dot should appear before the two spaces (and one space is maintained
between the period and the cursor)
3. That's it.
Actual Results:
two spaces and no period.
Expected Results:
A period before the two spaces and one space between the generated period and
the cursor.
Reproducible: Always
