In the current version 26.2.3, released this week, if I want to save, "Untitled 1" is already selected, so I can write any name, without touching the mouse, and press Enter to save. (Version 26.2 means is released in 2026 in February, and is already at the forth version, starting with 0, then 1, 2 and now 3). At least this is what I get on Linux using GTK3.
