If I understand correctly (which I am not 100% sure I am)... Select the cells that contain the "blue hyperlink url", then use the keyboard shortcut [CTRL]+[M] to "Clear Direct Formatting". The "blue hyperlink url" format will not be there anymore. You can then apply other formatting features to the cells (e.g. font type).
