          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 67619
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Caption settings for Image / Illustration cannot be
                    edited via dialog
          Severity: enhancement
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: All
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.1.0.4 release
         Component: Writer
           Product: LibreOffice

I observe an inconsistency in the right-click menu on an inserted Graphic /
Drawing:

Selecting any of the following menu items allows the user to EDIT pre-existing
settings: Position/Size, Name, Description

But selecting the menu item "caption" does NOT allow user to EDIT an already
existing caption, but only to insert an *additional* caption. This is very
confusing to the user.

So I suggest to either

-change the Caption dialog which is available through the right-click menu so
that it is already populated with an existing caption (if one exists). This is
the best option because it would allow user to actually change things about the
caption (like the numbering style, the category, etc etc). Right now, the only
way to change a caption (other than simple text changes) is to delete an
existing caption and insert a new one with the new settings. This is pretty
stupid since there *IS* already a dialog with the settings, but it isn't used
to changing settings...

OR

-change the menu item to "insert caption" - this will at least signal the user
that he needs to find another way to EDIT a caption (by editing the text
directly / by deleting and re-inserting the caption).
