--- Comment #13 from László Németh <[email protected]> --- @Dennis: thanks for forwarding the issue! I've checked the list, and it seems, most of the problem would be solved by dictionary development. Related to the hyphenated compound words, in LibreOffice 7.5, I've added a new Tools->Options...->Language settings->Writing Aids option to disable the acceptance arbitrary compound words with hyphen: [ ] Accept possible hyphenated words in Writing Aids. Maybe it's worth to disable it in Russian language, or adding an extra setting for Russian and other languages, if it's really not so common to accept the words with a hyphen productively. (The decision was to avoid of false alarm. I think, this "avoid-of-false-alarm " approach is more "user-friendlier" in most languages and cases for the users, and definitely it is the "user-friendliest" way for dictionary and spell-checker developers, who volunteering in free software projects). Maybe it's worth to add some AutoCorrect rules, too, to fix the most frequent spelling mistakes with hyphenation (perhaps так-как -> так как), because a significant portion of serious or typical spelling errors can be corrected without disabling the new option in Writing Aids (which would probably cause more errors with the current Russian dictionary anyway). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
