            Bug ID: 172031
Summary: LibreOffice writer (Linux version) improvement -
configure typing caret (not the mouse).
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.3.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
For Linux, the typing caret (not the mouse) in LO writer is difficult to see
and even more difficult to find. Is it possible to have a writer option that
will configure the caret (thickness, color, shape) INDEPENDENTLY of "gtk
settings" or any other system-wide setting/theme? Changing gtk.css seems to
affect every app on the system EXCEPT LO writer. I would think the
accessibility options might be where to configure it.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Ensure you are in a light theme (the document has a white background)
2.Open a writer document and view the caret
3.

Actual Results:
It is light gray and very thin

Expected Results:
I got upset trying to locate the cursor

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I shouldn't have to take any "caret movement" action to locate/see the
caret. Actions such as a) select something, b) press the home key, c) alternate
the up/down/left/right to produce some movement, d) etc. should not be
necessary.
I reiterate - configuration of the caret should only affect the LO Writer
(and any other LO app {draw ...) where text has to be entered.
