That bug deals with a different issue: the inability to permanently change the default Math font (the font used for all new formulas). That bug is about setting a new default. My bug is about a specific regression that affects existing formulas. The problem is that once a formula is saved with a particular Math font, the font setting for that specific formula becomes locked. You cannot change it again. Any attempt to change the Math font of an already-saved formula is silently ignored, and the original font is kept. This used to work correctly in versions prior to 26.2.x. In summary: - Bug 166281: Problem with changing the GLOBAL DEFAULT font for all new formulas. - My bug: Problem with changing the INDIVIDUAL FONT of an EXISTING, SAVED formula. These are completely separate issues. My bug is a regression that appeared in version 26.2.x.
