            Bug ID: 172081
Summary: RTL/LTR auto-detection stops working after manually
                    choosing a writing direction
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.8.0.0 alpha0+ master
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
When opening a new Text Document, at first automatic RTL/LTR detection works
great - paragraphs that start with a RTL script are aligned RTL and vice versa.
But upon manually choosing a writing direction, whether via the UI or with the
keyboard shortcut, that functionality ceases to work and there's no obvious way
to turn it back on besides opening a new document.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open a new document and check that automatic writing direction detection
works.
2.Manually change writing direction via UI or keyboard shortcuts.

Actual Results:
Observe that new paragraphs are no longer be automatically aligning in
accordance to their script (e.g. now a sentence in English will start in RTL
even if beforehand it automatically changed back to LTR).

Expected Results:
Either continue with the automatic writing direction system - I don't see
anyone wanting to write Arabic LTR or English RTL - or have some sort of button
in the UI that visibly shows if that feature is enabled or disabled.

Reproducible: Always
