            Bug ID: 172088
Summary: "Modified:" date never saved/updated when "Apply user
data" is disabled in File Properties dialog
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: Inherited From OOo
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: UI
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

# Steps to reproduce

1. Open an old file
2. Go to File > Properties...
3. Uncheck "Apply user data" and click "OK"
4. Save the file as something else
5. Make some more changes, Save them
6. Go to File > Properties, and look at the blank "Modification:" date/time

# User story

I created various .odt and .ods files years ago as templates, where I disabled
"Apply User Data" in those files' properties dialog in LibreOffice. The reason
is that I don't want personally-identifying information (like user names etc.)
accidentally appearing there.

However, the problem is that when you open those files and save them as new
files and/or make modifications to them, they never get a new creation date and
they never get a modification date. The File Properties dialog for those files
only shows the original "Created:" date, which may be ten years ago even though
I created a modified version of this file today, as seen in the screenshot in
attachment #207070 from bug #172087.

If the "Created:" date can never be updated, I would at least expect the
"Modified:" date to be recorded and updated on every save; it's not
sensitive/personally-identifying information, it's good to have in any
situation.
