            Bug ID: 172166
Summary: Direction control should be somewhere on the format
                    menu or submenus
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.3.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Keywords: needsUXEval
          Severity: minor
          Priority: medium
         Component: UI
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
            Blocks: 85811, 129661

The Format menu has lots and lots of character and paragraph properties one can
choose and apply or modify (perhaps even too many.) But - even though it covers
changes as quaint as tOGGLING tHE cASE - it does not offer the ability of
changing the direction of a paragraph.

Now, this is not a critical issue: One can change direction using keyboard
shortcuts or toolbar buttons, available by default. But then - this is true for
a lot of other properties. Example: demote and promote of list items, which can
easily be affected using Tab and Alt-Tab, and highly visible toolbar buttons.

You might also say: "But the Format menu is already rather cluttered/full of
stuff". Well, maybe, but the alignment submenu isn't. So, we could make it
"Alignment & Direction" or "Align & Direct", and add the RTL/LTR controls below
the different alignment options.
