There is not one specific unique commit (and that's the reason for the lack of a back-port). The problem is a mess with several layers of patches (and misunderstandings, lack of experience and lack of knowledge about Calc) initially started by Heiko, who also decided not to completely revert things. Then (after more than 2 years) he also decided to _somewhat_ revert things but to add some checkbox with a different default behavior than before (instead of what should had been the same default behavior as in LO 7.6), and he also chose to dismiss users' warning that the behavior was not completely compatible when using macros.
