Bug ID: 172238
Summary: Unable to move multiple paragraph with "Move Item
Up/Down" (alt+shift+arrow) more than once
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.2.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
When multiple paragraphs are selected and moved using the “Move Item Up/Down”
shortcuts (Alt+Shift+Up/Down), the selection is lost after the first move
operation.
Steps to Reproduce:
Open a Writer document.
Select multiple paragraphs.
Press Alt+Shift+Up or Alt+Shift+Down to move the selected paragraphs.
Press the shortcut again.
Actual Results:
After the first move, the multi-paragraph selection is lost. Subsequent
shortcut presses only move the current paragraph/cursor line instead of the
original selection.
Expected Results:
The multi-paragraph selection should remain active after each move operation so
repeated shortcut presses continue moving the entire selected block.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
The first move operation works correctly.
The issue appears to be caused by focus or selection state being reset after
the move action.
