I don't see this as a problem. I tested with a paragraph of a half of a page of
Writer, the same text in a Calc cell, and I found that text in the search.

I agree that a search like this is not usual, but I don't see a problem that we
don't have a limit. Imagine a scenario where someone is searching for a certain
pattern of text of 2000 characters, or maybe 5000. Whay to limit this? If we
can search text so long and it does not crash? 

UX Team -- please take a look at this enhancement. Thanks!
