> The Navigator is the same as in Writer

Well, true, but we could consider this for Writer as well.

But questions2000 is talking about navigating using the keyboard... enabling
the workflow of "move forward to next sheet by pressing the down key",
repeatedly. With the kb focus loss on double-click, you can't have that. So
that's a point in favor of the request.

On the other hand, one can use repeated Ctrl+PgDn typing to do the same.

But then again, on the first hand, the Ctrl+PgDn/PgUp shortcuts are not easily
discoverable, while the navigator is, and it is somewhat intuitive to expect
that you would navigate with your keyboard within the navigator and the main
pane would show the places you navigated to. So maybe a toggle does make sense,
something like "Main pane follows navigator focus" or something shorter like
"Auto-navigate" or whatever. And it could be a toggle button of course. Some
IDEs have this: Whether switching tabs to the tab of a different file moves the
focus in the file hierarchy pane to that file. CLion uses a target crosshairs
icon on the button for this.
