Bug ID: 172331
Summary: User field values altered in copy&paste operations
between documents
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.0.3 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Copying from a SOURCE document and pasting into a DESTINATION document that
share a common set of user fields may result in DESTINATION's user fields to
get values from SOURCE's, eventually leading to data leaks.
Steps to Reproduce:
Experienced in a production environment, but very hard to reproduce in testing.
Most often, the behavior is -likely- as intended: user field are pasted, but
they retain their values at DESTINATION. In a few occasions, though, user field
values have been altered.
Unable so far to find the exact sequence of operation leading to the bug. The
open/closed status of SOURCE and DESTINATION documents at the moment of copying
and at the moment of pasting may be relevant. Also, whether LibreOffice is
running in background (i.e. other documents are open).
Actual Results:
DESTINATION's user field get the values from SOURCE's document. Most of the
times they do not, though.
Expected Results:
DESTINATION's user fields keep their original values.
Reproducible: Sometimes
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Thanks in advance.
