Just tried saving a docx file as odt, but it didn't work until updating the table of contents, saving the file and then reopening it. I still think it would make sense to make the toc also work instantly in docx file formats. Like in my case all former Google Docs were automatically converted to docx etc. when moving them from Google Drive to Nextcloud.
