Bug ID: 172364
Summary: Inadequate/Misleading English Thesaurus
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice

I am writing about deserts, i.e., arid, usually windy and sandy wastelands.
"Desert" is also an English word that means "comeuppance," i.e., "wohlverdiente
Strafe" auf Deutsch (just deserts auf Englisch). So, the same word (desert),
but with two different meanings. When I wanted a synonym for "an arid, usually
windy and sandy wasteland," I got comeuppance." I immediately understood the
error, laughed, and got your eMail address so that you could also laugh. I
think you should give users the option of one or the other definition when they
try to get a synonym based on the meaning intended rather than on the spelling.
Other than that, I appreciate your program a great deal. Ich bedanke mich.
Tschüss.
