Bug ID: 172379
Summary: Files opening in wrong display
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.3.2 release
Hardware: ARM
OS: macOS (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
I've run into a strange bug that isn't present in 25.8.7.3, so it looks like
it's been introduced in the 26 branch.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Set up a second display on macOS
2. Open the LibreOffice app and maximise it on the second display (don't go
full-screen)
3. Using Finder on the first display, double-click a .odt file to open it (this
should open a new window on the second display that is also maximised)
4. Double-click a different .odt file in Finder to open that as well
At this point, the second file opens a window on the first display, not the
second display. Subsequent files then do the same - it's only the first one
that behaves as expected. The previous behaviour in the 25 branch was for all
the files to open on whichever display the app was initially located in. I've
only tested with .odt files so far, but it may well occur with other file types
as well. Curiously, it also only seems to occur with .odt files that have been
created/modified recently - older files seem to open fine.
If it helps, I'm using macOS 26.5 with Apple Silicon.
