Description:
suppose two page styles S1 and S2 with left and right versions. Then in a 4
page example let the styles be s1-right, s1-left, s2-right, s2-left. Now out
of curiousity I change s1 style from left/right to mirrored. Whoops, I want to
go back again to left/right. Now however s1-left has been deleted, and the
sequence is s1-right, s2-right, s2-left. The missing s1-left in uncoverable,
but very much needed in the book.

If you like, I can supply a very simple trial file which you can verify the
above. How to correct the bug and recover the deleted style is beyond me.
