--- Comment #27 from casa <[email protected]> ---
(In researching what the heck might have been going on I ran across articles,
reports, and years of comments about strange and frustrating 'recalc' problems
in Calc. Problems that people couldn't put a finger on or that seemed to keep
coming up but in rare situations. And there were always a list of 'solutions'
to try but no firm grasp on an exact fix.

To me this is a VERY unusual type of bug (while seemingly not super critical to
many 'yeah...we have problems sometimes...just hard recalc it'). (But how do
you know when you have a problem and how do you know to do a hard recalc when
LITERALLY some cells are unrealiable and conflict with others with the SAME
FORMULA. My spreadsheet can have TWO states and 'answers' depending on how
many times I calc it.

Might it be possible that this dismissed, 'dead', or perhaps low priority bug
report is actually pointing to a long standing but hard to find real problem
deep down somewhere that is rather serious?

As somebody earlier said if numbers on a spreadsheet cant be trusted and you
dont know WHEN they cant be trusted (or which) then that seems pretty bad.

(I speculated on a solution I tried to implement which was to see if I could
force Librecale to do *two* calculations for EACH modification. Yes the
concern (and need) is bad enough that I wanted to find a way to have the
program do 1) autocalc; then 2) automatic hard-calc....on each change. Which
would normally be overkill, but it shows the concern and risk. (there is no
way to do this hack))
