Bug ID: 172520
Summary: Scroll lags increase with application height
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.3.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I noticed, both on X11 and on Wayland, that the scroll's, on Libreoffice
Writer, lag increases with the height of the application. Using the scrollbar
is fine, but scrolling with the mouse wheel isn't.
When I increase the height of the app to maximum, 1080p on my monitor, it lags
a lot, while if I decrease it to around 300p or less, it goes away almost
completely.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Libreoffice Writer document (.docx on my case)
2. Scroll with the mouse
3. Lags
Actual Results:
Scrolling stutter and jumps around the document
Expected Results:
Scrolling should be smooth just like when I use the scrollbar, pixel by pixel
with no lag.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
Okay, I looked at the question below (Did you try resetting your UserProfile?)
and that actually fixed the issue, so it might be a configuration problem, but
since I restarted from scratch I don't know which configuration triggered the
problem. I'm still submitting this bug report since it can be useful for
others.
