            Bug ID: 172536
           Summary: Selected Text Sometimes Flickers
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.3.2 release
          Hardware: x86 (IA32)
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
In LibreOffice Writer, selecting text occasionally causes the selected area to
flicker.

It's unpredictable, so it's hard to test whether certain rendering options,
screen resolutions, etc. affect this.

It's not limited to tables. It might be related to nearby footnotes, or to
copying, cutting, and pasting text to reorder it.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a LibreOffice Writer document.
2. Select text.

Actual Results:
3. Sometimes it flickers, sometimes not.

Expected Results:
4. It shouldn't flicker. It's painful.

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Version: 26.2.3.2 (X86_64)
Build ID: 70e089b17412e4cb7773e41413306b17a2328c34
CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (build 26200); UI render: Skia/Raster;
VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

I reduce resolution, and use bolder ClearType settings, to reduce eyestrain on
Windows.

I would rather not reset and then have to rebuild my user profile.
