--- Comment #4 from Shane <[email protected]> ---
The connector is glued to a the top point on the text box.
The file format is pptx

I just found that right clicking gives a context menu that has "connector" as
an option. I adjusted the settings and saved.
On reopening the problem persists.

"consider not to use a connector at all, but a simple polyline."
Yes but that defeats the point of the connector tool.
It means I have to add more control points. I want a sharp 90 degree bend with
the least number of clicks... :)

I have just observed a new behaviour/symptom.

I saved one slide as a separate file in both pptx and .odp formats.
On saving and reopening the problem does not occur (I tried multiple times)

BUT with the same slide in the full file, after I fix the problem and reopen
the problem recurs.

If I have a presentation with 3 slides then the problem recurs. But the
behaviour on saving after correction and reopening seems to have some
dependency on file type.

I will send 4 files after this.

"Before Correction from original" in pptx and odp formats.
2 slides will have incorrect/erroneous connector placements

After Correcion in pptx and odp formats. Here I fixed the first slide only.

When I opened the odp version it kept the correction on the first slide and the
second slide remained unchanged (ie incorrect)

But for the pptx version the first slide reverted to an incorrect placment BUT
the second slide was now correct!?
