            Bug ID: 172583
Summary: writer -- no "save as default" checkbox in file dialog
                    when saving template
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Documentation
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]

When saving a Writer document as a template, and the user desires said template
to be the default, the documentation states (incorrectly) that the user should
"click the Set as default template checkbox, and save in the My Templates
category."

This is incorrect because:
 * There is no Set as default template checkbox.
 * The dialog does not provide for an easy way to access My Templates, nor does
it navigate there automatically.

This applies regardless of whether "User LibreOffice dialogs" is checked in
Options | General | Open/Save Dialogs

As a workaround, the user is advised to save the document as a template anyway,
close the document, then follow the alternative:
"Choose File - Templates - Manage Templates. Right-click on template to be made
default, choose Set as Default."
