Description:
Font formatting is handled like an after-applied formatting in Libreoffice.
I can not select a font and start writing with that font.
If I select some font, and start writing, LibreOffice Writer will render the
text in the default font for that type of script (Western, or Complex) which
was previously set via the settings.
I would expect to be able to apply font formatting before actually writing
anything. Just like I can turn on italic, or bold before writing anything. I
just click the italic button and start writing... the output comes italicised.
The current behaviour of LibreOffice is contrary to all other popular office
suites, and hence I'd say it is a bug which should be fixed.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Change the font from the font selector
2.Start typing some text
Actual Results:
The font changes back to the default. The typed text shows up in the default
font, not in the selected font.
Expected Results:
If a font is selected before typing anything, the software should use the
selected font to display the text typed right after.
It should behave like other formattings like bold, italic, etc.
