            Bug ID: 172648
           Summary: LibreOffice not starting
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Yesterday morning (july 1st), a customer called me that he couldn't open Libre
Office (Writer). Not when clicking on the shortcut or when clicking on a
document. I didn't really look wich version he had but I thought it was 25.11
or something. I tried to repair the installation through Windows Control Panel
- Software but that didn't help. Also a reboot of the computer didn't help.
Finally I downloaded the latest version and installed it over the old version
and everything is working fine again. But later that day another customer
called with exactly the same problem and the same solution. After the third
client called with the same problem and solution, I tried it at my laptop and I
also have the same problem, Libre Office will not start. I shortly see the
mouse cursor rotating, then it stops and nothing happens. I am holding on this
situation to see if I can get a solution without installing a new version. Al
computers are running on Windows 11, my versions is 25H2 and all updates are
installed. I run Libre Office version 26.2.2.2. In the WIndows log I get error
1000 Faulting-modulepad: C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program\skialo.dll,
followed by error 1005 about a possible error with the network connection or
the drive. I think I can also repair this by installing the latest version but
I thought it would be better to let you know that this suddenly happens at 4
different systems at the same day.
