            Bug ID: 172668
           Summary: Strange UI artifacts on MacOS Tahoe involving mouse
                    hovering over toolbar icons and update speech bubbles.
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.3.2 release
          Hardware: ARM
                OS: macOS (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: UI
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
When hovering over icons in the toolbar of any LibreOffice application (Writer,
Calc...), the button appears as a solid black rounded square with the icon
inside. Similarly, the speech bubble notification for an update was fitted
inside of a black box. This is rather distracting and can cause usability
problems especially with icons that are very dark in color.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice and open any LO application such as Writer or Calc. You can
create a new document or open an existing one, it doesn't matter.
2. Hover over icons in the toolbars with the mouse cursor.
3. (Older versions of LibreOffice) Wait for the automatic update speech bubble
to appear.

Actual Results:
For every icon being hovered over, a black rounded square appears with the icon
in the center. In older versions of LibreOffice set up to check for updates
automatically, the speech bubble is contained in a black rectangle.

Expected Results:
Icons should have a transparent gray or blue box when hovering over them with
the mouse. The speech bubble should not be in any box.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Currently using LibreOffice 26.2.4.2, but I have noticed this problem in
26.2.3.2. This problem does not manifest on Windows 11, neither has it appeared
on Mac OS Sequoia. I have not tested this on Linux.

Version: 26.2.4.2 (AARCH64)
Build ID: 0229ac93fcf0d7cbc6376066c6f35021cef002dc
CPU threads: 12; OS: macOS 26.5.2; UI render: Skia/Metal; VCL: osx
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Things I've tried:
* Change the theme
* Change the icon set
* Reboot the computer
* Update LibreOffice
* Restart LibreOffice in Safe Mode (problem occurs there too)
* Attempt to toggle on hardware rendering (unable, it's unchecked and cannot be
checked)
