            Bug ID: 172688
Summary: uncorrect display of japanese characters (kanji) in
                    base
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.8.1.1 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: macOS (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Base
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

When I input simple japanese characters (kanji) (for example 青木) in a table or
a form, they are displayed as squares. Input of kana works well. When I copy
and past the suqares to libreoffice text editor, or spreadsheet, the kanji are
correctly displayed. I use Yumincho font type. If I input a kana and a kanji
(like あ青木), the kanji is correctly displayed. Could you kindly help me, please?
Many thanks in advance
