Bug ID: 172700
Summary: Table insertion hotkey overlaps with the KDE hotkey
(ctrl+F12)
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 27.2.0.0 alpha0+ master
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
By default in KDE, ctrl+F12 minimizes all windows to display the desktop.
However, in LibreOffice, this hotkey is bound to inserting tables in Writer.
This means there's currently no out-of-the-box option to insert a table into a
document using ctrl+F12, as the hotkey is processed by KDE, not Office.
Can we replace the current hotkey in Linux with something else? It seems like
ctrl+t should be available in both KDE and Gnome. ctrl+t would be a good
shortcut to use with tables, but it seems like it's already used in German and
Spanish.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LO Writer on Linux with KDE
2. Press Ctrl+F12
Actual Results:
The windows will be minimized
Expected Results:
The dialog for adding a new table is displayed
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
