This is effectively a duplicate of bug 47122 and/or bug 102307.

At least for macOS Ctrl+G still means 'find again'.

tdf#98290 Cmd + G as Find Next shortcut for Mac

I think changing the .uno:RepeatSearch keyboard shortcut to any of comment 4's
suggestions would certainly be a mistake.

Google says,
"F3 has deep roots in the Windows ecosystem. The notable exception is MS Word
which uses F3 for autoText. Where F3 is standard: Windows File Explorer,
Notepad, Visual Studio, Web Browsers (Chrome/Edge/Firefox on Windows), and most
modern Windows code and text editors.

Ctrl+G is "Find Again" in Linux Firefox/Chrome and Gnome HIG standards. (But
not KDE - there it is F3 - Ctrl-G is goto...)"

Only a very compelling argument warrants changing default keyboard shortcut
assignments. Certainly none of the existing keyboard defaults is wrong:
-F3 matches MS Word for autoText - highly desirable to keep that match
-Ctrl-G matches MS Word and KDE's Goto - highly desirable to keep that match
-Microsoft Word has "Find Again", mapped by default to Shift+F4 and Ctrl+Alt+y.

So the current LibreOffice shortcuts of Ctrl-F to start a Find, and
Ctrl-Shift-F to find again does have some logic/symmetry.

IMHO having special hardcoded F3 and Ctrl-G keyboard shortcuts while when in
the find toolbar makes excellent sense in light of the Windows and Linux
'standards'.
