Description:
I've just moved over from Publisher. It was a relief to find this fabulous
software, but I missed the features below. Sorry if some of these are noted
elsewhere or I've just haven't found some function yet.
- Multiple selections aren't identified when grouping so you're not sure if you
have selected correctly (especially if one object is completely within
another).
- You can use delete to see if the selection is correct but then Undo loses the
selection. Selections are not remembered in history.
- Edit or delete objects without ungrouping.
- Larger off page canvas required. I use overlays larger than the canvas that
I need to shift off the page and store on the side (I saw the commentary on
this).
- Shortcut to view master page (e.g. Ctrl + M).
- Objects off page could be visible on master page and normal view.
- Shortcut for format painter (e.g. Ctrl + Shift + C, Ctrl + Shift + V).
- Eyedropper to pick up color.
- When copying and pasting an object, it would be great if the copy was nudged
a bit sideways and downwards rather than exactly over the top.
- More control over bulleted lists.
- Massive help to import Publisher files but I did have to recreate most of the
objects again for different reasons. Images didn't convert so they would
rotate. One file has every object at a y position of -13.31cm and can't be
changed.
