Hello,

I also experienced long load/save times in .ods format. 

Then, I found out it was the format. LibreOffice using ODF format version - 1.4
(Extended) is the culprit here.

I switched to normal Version 1.4. I can see that my file size reduced and
normal save time similar to .xlsx.

Change it by going to Options > Load/Save > General. Then try re-saving it.

I am using LibreOffice (latest) in Fedora Linux 44.
