            Bug ID: 172842
Summary: Getting started guide crashes Acrobat Reader but not
                    PDF Creator
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: Other
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Documentation
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]

I will admit that this bug seems unlikely so before reporting here I downloaded
the guide again and did a binary compare - both versions were identical. Adobe
Reader crashed each time.

I open hundreds of PDFs and have never seen Acrobat Reader crash before.

I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader version 2026.001.21691 (64 bit). I checked for
updates and at the time of writing there are none.

I tried opening the file in PDF Creator v11.30.1 and it did not crash.

Procedure:

I downloaded the getting started guide from https://books.libreoffice.org/en/
which linked to https://nextcloud.documentfoundation.org/s/rbd2ipG6RP8F779

Clicking the above link opened the file in my web browser (Chrome) so I clicked
the three dots in the top RH corner and downloaded it.

File timestamp: 2026-07-10 10:25:28
File size: 28,042,338 bytes
File crc32: 77fed130

CRC32 was calculated on a Linux box.

Before I report this to Adobe, is it just me?
