Description:
LibreOffice does not adapt its UI scaling when the window is moved between
monitors with different scale factors on KDE Plasma 6 (Wayland session). The UI
remains locked at the scale factor of the monitor where LibreOffice was
initially launched.
Tested with SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=wayland and SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=qt6, both produce
the same result. Other KDE native apps (Dolphin, Konsole, System Settings)
handle per-monitor scaling correctly.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. On KDE Plasma 6 Wayland session, set up dual monitors with different scale
factors (e.g. Built-in Screen at 125%, external monitor at 100%)
2. Launch LibreOffice from the laptop screen: SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=wayland
libreoffice writer
3. Confirm LibreOffice UI renders correctly at 125% on the laptop
4. Drag the LibreOffice window to the external monitor (100% scale)
Actual Results:
LibreOffice UI remains at 125% scale on the external monitor, appearing
oversized compared to other native KDE applications which correctly scale to
100%.
Expected Results:
LibreOffice UI should dynamically adapt to the scale factor of the monitor it
is currently displayed on (100% on external monitor), matching the behavior of
other KDE Wayland native applications.
