            Bug ID: 172991
Summary: updater.exe tries (and fails) to update on every
                    launch
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.4.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
When the auto-updater detects an update, it tries to install it.

However, the version number remains unchanged, and "updater.exe" shows up on
every subsequent launch of LibreOffice, until LibreOffice is manually updated
(or until the "auto-update" setting is disabled).

Today, for me, the updater is trying to update from 26.2.4.2 to 26.2.5.1.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice
2. Accept the UAC prompt for "updater.exe"
3. Watch the updater do its thing (with progress bar and all)
4. Check the exact version number in: Help > About LibreOffice

Actual Results:
The version number remains unchanged.
The updater will show up the next time I open LibreOffice.

Expected Results:
The new version should be installed.
updater.exe should not pop up on the next launch.

Reproducible: Always
