Bug ID: 173012
Summary: LibreOffice 25.8.7 also 26.2.4 install but they do not
open in Windows 10 IoT x64
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.4.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I have used LibreOffice in several versions successfully for the past three
years. I used the option to automatically update the installed version which
worked fine until last week. When the recent versoon 25.8.6 wanted to upgrade
to 26.2.4 the upgrade procedure looked as usual. But after finishing the
update, the system demanded a restart and when clicking on the LibreOffice icon
to open LibreOffice the activity circle runs for about 10 seconds, then stops
and nothing happens. I uninstalled LibreOffice completely and installed the ESR
version for companies ie. the 25.8.7 freshly loaded from the website. It
installs seemingly without troubles. It does not demand a restart. Opening the
icon of LibreOffice 25.8.7 as administrator also caused a circle to run for
about 10 seconds and then silence. Nothing.
I uninstalled this version, choose the older one 25.8.6 installed it and
directly after the successful installation I disabled the connection to the
internet, so that it cannot run the upgrade routines automatically. I cancelled
the automatic update in options and LibreOffice works fine as before.
Actual Results:
I have to stick to LibreOffice 25.8.6 until the problem is solved
Expected Results:
See above. I cannot update or upgrade anymore under my HP Elitebook 645 G7
running Windows 10 IoT x64 most recent version.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
It should ask in the installation procedure of older versions whether automatic
updates or upgrades should be activated from the beginning or not. Otherwise
killing the internet connection is a strong method to keep it from doing so
