This bug report is about the default font of LibreOffice Writer and not about the possibility of changing this. It is possible and also much easier than what is described in comment 16. The only thing a user has to do is to go to Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice Writer -> Basic Fonts (Western) and change the font there. Having said that, this bug report is not about his possibility.
