Also, this is not an enhancement request: The Paragraph style editing dialog must allow editing all paragraph style properties, which includes all default-character-style properties. Not allowing their editing is simply a bug. Now, if embedded character styles were separately editable somehow (not sure that's a good idea), one could argue that perhaps it's not effective / useful to also make all of those properties editable while editing the paragraph style overall; but - that's not where we're at. So far, I would just confirm this as a bug. However, the question of how to implement this exactly, and how to refer to CS-borders vs PS-borders merits discussion before a simple confirmation and a green-light for implementation.
