Bug ID: 173256
Summary: Sometimes the 'undo' feature in Calc doesn't work in
cells with multiple paragraphs
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.4.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
If I paste some text in a cell with multiple paragraphs, 'undo' sometimes
doesn't work.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. I copy a line of text from a text file.
2. I go to cell A2 of my document, a cell with multiple paragraphs (previously
created by pressing <CTRL> + <ENTER>).
3. I place the cursor at the end of the third paragraph.
4. I press <CTRL> + <ENTER> twice to make space.
5. I paste the text.
Actual Results:
'Undo' doesn't work: neither via the shortcut, nor via the menu.
Expected Results:
'Undo' should work every time you make a change in a document.
Reproducible: Sometimes
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
I've unsuccessfully spent a considerable amount of time trying to find out when
the issue occurs, as it's not consistent: that's why I've decided to upload my
document.
The behaviour is so inconsistent that I've noticed something particularly
weird:
1. I go to cell A1, place the cursor at the end of the third paragraph, press
<CTRL> + <ENTER> twice and then paste the text.
2. I do the same thing in A2.
3. 'Undo' works, but it only undoes the change in cell A1: it skips cell A2.
I've also noticed that the issue doesn't happen if I select both cells and then
I press <CTRL> + <M> to remove the formatting (I also set top-left alignment,
as the text gets cropped).
Finally, I've noticed that cells with multiple paragraphs display some erratic
behaviour in general. In some instances, when I edited the text and I clicked
outside the cell instead of pressing <ENTER>, the edit wasn't visible unless I
clicked again on the cell and pressed <ENTER>.
