            Bug ID: 173283
Summary: FeatureRequest: 3-Way-Merge (n-way-merge) of Office
Documents (odt, doc, docx, sdw, rtf) , offline
                    collaboration, UI, VIEWING
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Given an offline collaboration group (or current and multiple old versions of
same documenent perhaps written in different or same file format) :

I think for merging documents with similar textual content, it would be nice,
if LibreOffice can show at least a 3-way-merge Window as UI to the user, where
the user can choose which textual changes and comments should take into an
output document.

The output document should be a "new file" or should be a choosen file where
"recording changes" gets activated via 3-way-merge, so one could verify from
which input file which "change set" is comming from.

The 3-way-merge Window could have three textual readonly parts and one output
part (i.e. like KDiff3 or other diff/merge tools).
In the output part of the window the merged document should be shown.
There should be the possibility to "merge with comments".

So the output document should not only contain the merged visible textual
information but also meta information like comments and the logical structure
of document (chapter, section, ... ) .
